Was it my fault? Was it yours?

Perhaps we just fell apart, perhaps we got bored

Did you lose interest? Is there another man?

Tell me what's wrong, I don't understand

Things were great, just me and you

We were always together, an inseparable two

I loved your smile, you made me laugh

It never crossed my mind that we wouldn't last

We dedicated songs, we talked all night

We hardly argued, we would never fight

We said, "Good Morning", we texted "Sleep Tight"

Everything was perfect, it seemed so right

And then it happened, you called me crying

I tried to persuade you, but our love was dying

You were insecure, you thought you weren't good enough

I tried to show you how much you were worth

You were my light, you were my Sun

You brought me warmth, you were my hun

But when it happened, things were strange

Something was different, I felt a change

I tried to deny it, I couldn't fight it

We were growing apart and I couldn't hide it

Hours turned to days, and days to weeks

And then I saw you walking down the street

You never noticed, because I was leaving

That's when I saw him, that dreadful evening

I ignored you, I forwarded your calls

What more could you say? Why would you do me wrong?

But now I'm sitting here, all alone

Listening to the message you left on my phone

I never would have guessed it, that I'd be the one crying

In the message you said, "I love you."...but I knew you were lying.
